T.G.I.F.! This weeks featured photographer is Javier Vallhonrat from Madrid, Spain. Javier is no stranger to the world of photography, he has been shooting fashion for decades. His work has appeared in top magazines such as Vogue, Mixte and Flair, and he has worked with top designers from all over the world such as John Galliano, Christian Lacroix and Jil Sander.
Below are a few pics he has shot over the years. I love that they are colorful and fearless!
Sasha Pivovarova is one of my all time favorite models. When I saw this shoot from Elle I jumped out of my chair and did a little happy dance! She looks fierce as always, but what I love about this shoot is that it is part doll, part futuristic, and totally colorful. The Miu Miu platforms are ga…ga…ga…gorgeous, and Sasha pulls off every outfit flawlessly!
Below are the pics and a fun video of Sasha clips. If you subscribe by email and cannot see the video, go directly to Future Hippie.
Everyone knows I love neon, so when I saw this shoot with Du Juan and Jessica Stam from Vogue China, I immediately wanted to post it. Now, what else is fabulous about this shoot is that it reminds me of one of my absolute favorite movies…..The Fast and The Furious!
If you’re ever sitting home on a rainy Sunday afternoon and need a semi-cheesy but totally entertaining flick to watch, then The Fast and the Furious is the movie for you! You can’t help but love Vin Diesel as he plays the sexy hijacking rebel, Paul Walker plays the cop with boyish charm, and the rest of the cast is just fierce!
The other ones are good but the original F and F is still my favorite! Here are pics of the shoot and some from the movie. Seriously go rent it! (A little cheese never hurt anyone!)
If you have been reading Future Hippie for sometime now, you will probably know that Georgia May Jagger, daughter of rock legend Mick Jagger, is one of my favorite “future hippies”! At just 18 years old, she has already graced the covers of several magazines and has recently landed a huge ad campaign for Versace.
Below is a short video clip of Georgia after winning “model of the Year” at the British Fashion Awards. If subscribe by email and can’t see the video, go directly to Future Hippie.
On to the Awards!!! A special thanks to Shell from Swan of Dreamers for this awesome “Happy” award!
And now my job is to name 10 things that make me happy and then pass it on to some of my favorite bloggers. 🙂 Here’s my list, in no particular order…..
*my husband, doggies & friends *buying lots of shoes *vintage clothing / fashion in general *people who are honest *the beach *rainy days *creating *giving *N.Y.C. *futuristic stuff
And now I pass this award on to the following fab bloggers with one change… I made an award that kinda fits my personality better, so feel free to snag either one of these or the one above and link back if you wish. 🙂
I had this fierce shoot scheduled to post today featuring Freja Beha Erichsen in Alexander McQueen. When I woke up and read the news, I was deeply saddened to hear that Alexander died yesterday. Reports say that he committed suicide….he was only 40 years old. This comes just a few days after his mother passed away.
I decided to continue with this post and add a short video as a tribute. Alexander made some of the most beautiful and futuristic creations, and was one of the greatest designers of our time. If you subscribe by email and can’t see the video, go directly to Future Hippie.
Happy Friday you sexy people! This weeks featured photographer is Paco Peregrin from Madrid, Spain and the shoot is called “Electricus”. Usually I like a few sets from various photographers, but with Paco I can honestly say all of his work just rocks! I’m especially loving the bright colors in this shoot and the clothes are fierce!
It’s supposed to rain all weekend here so I’m planning on catching up on some reading and hanging out with my honey and my doggies. What are you guys up to?
PS I will be posting a fun contest on Boho Glamour later today so drop by and check it out! 🙂
I’ve been revamping my studio this week into a calming Zen paradise. A tranquil desktop water fountain, bamboo plants and a few colored light bulbs have really transformed it into a relaxing space. I came across my “Fruits” cards and decided they would fit perfectly, so I attached them to 2 metal rods with magnets so I could change the pictures periodically.
I have been fascinated with Japanese fashion ever since the book “Fruits” came out! I love the street wear but have come to appreciate the fashion on the runways as well. In keeping with my theme I decided to post some pics from Japan Fashion Week Spring Summer 2010. 🙂
What do you guys think about Japanese street style? Is it over the top? Tacky? Fabulous? Fierce?
