When I saw this shoot I think I jolted upright in my chair and proceed to swirl around the room! My dogs tend to freak out when I do that and join in the excitement.
Anyway, the photos are from October Criativa and I love them! Colorful and psychedelic, with a total modern day hippie vibe! Kind of looks like they could be on their way to Burning Man or a desert rave.
So in other news….I’m totally sold out of vintage in the Future Hippie Shop. (*yippie!!!*)I probably won’t be restocking it but I will definitely keep blogging.
Speaking of which, I’ve been blogging for quite some time now and have gotten awesome comments and emails, and the opportunity to meet some really great people. I always strive to post things you guys will enjoy, which is why I would love to hear your feedback.
I’ve been working on some new ideas for the Future Hippie Blog and was wondering what would you guys like to see more of?
Georgia is the daughter of model mom Jerry Hall and rock legend Mick Jagger. Her modeling career has been on the fast track for the past couple of years and it doesn’t look like she’s slowing down anytime soon!
Here’s her latest shoot from Vogue China, shot by photographer Max Vadukul. Loving every look!
Hope everyone is having a fierce week so far and pursuing your dreams!
Hey sexy people, it’s that time again….FUTURE FRIDAY’S! This weeks featured photographer is Tayfun Cetinkaya from Istanbul, Turkey and the shoot is called Hippi Eksantirik. Tayfun has a wide range of work but I particularly like these photos because…..well…..they’re part hippie and part futuristic! I love the irony of the model representing the hippie culture whilst wearing Louis Vuitton, although I’m not sure some of the old school hippies would find it as amusing. 🙂
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! Looks like it’s going to rain here, so time to get creative!
It’s a supermodel festival! Check out Coco Rocha, Heidi Mount, Karlie Kloss, Liya Kebede and Paolo Roversi for T Style. I love the super bright colors and the vibe that is a little bit hippie, but also futuristic and fashion forward.
Speaking of futuristic hippies 🙂 Coming soon in the Future Hippie Shop……a whole new look! Right now everything in the shop is $20.00 or less. I’m making room for new vintage clothing which is focused more on neon, bright prints and some of the styles you see on this blog. I will keep you guys updated as thing progress.
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on Future Hippie! I love to hear your thoughts and visit your sites as well. 🙂
If you have been reading Future Hippie for sometime now, you will probably know that Georgia May Jagger, daughter of rock legend Mick Jagger, is one of my favorite “future hippies”! At just 18 years old, she has already graced the covers of several magazines and has recently landed a huge ad campaign for Versace.
Below is a short video clip of Georgia after winning “model of the Year” at the British Fashion Awards. If subscribe by email and can’t see the video, go directly to Future Hippie.
On to the Awards!!! A special thanks to Shell from Swan of Dreamers for this awesome “Happy” award!
And now my job is to name 10 things that make me happy and then pass it on to some of my favorite bloggers. 🙂 Here’s my list, in no particular order…..
*my husband, doggies & friends *buying lots of shoes *vintage clothing / fashion in general *people who are honest *the beach *rainy days *creating *giving *N.Y.C. *futuristic stuff
And now I pass this award on to the following fab bloggers with one change… I made an award that kinda fits my personality better, so feel free to snag either one of these or the one above and link back if you wish. 🙂
Georgia May Jagger is one of the beautiful daughters of model mom, Jerry Hall and rockstar dad, Mick Jagger. She just did a new shoot for Vanity Fair who stated that “Georgia has made it in the major leagues of modeling.” By checking out the photos I can see why!
Her current boyfriend is Django James who is the son of Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics. Django is also following in the footsteps of his famous dad and has started a band of his own called Django James and the Midnight Squires…..totally worth the listen!
Elite Model Georgia May Jagger, the youngest daughter of rockstar Mick Jagger and model Jerry Hall, recently shot an ad campaign for the denim company Hudson Jeans which has caused quite a bit of controversy since Georgia is only 17. The shoot by Mario Sorrenti, the former boyfriend of Kate Moss, features Georgia topless with a guest appearance by her boyfriend Django James. Django, the son of Dave Stewart from the Eurythmics, is 18 and is a future rockstar in his own right.
Personally, she is one of my favorite rising stars and I think she is gorgeous! Is she too young to do ads like these or do you think it’s o.k.? What age do you think is old enough? Leave a comment, I’d love to hear your opinions! 🙂
Here’s another pic from the Hudson Jeans ad, and a few others from her most recent shoots.
Since this is my first post on Future Hippie, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite pics from my inspiration folder and give you a quick idea of what’s in store.
My name is Cara Mia. Some of you may know me from my blog Hippie Couture which focuses on fashion, art, music and culture from the 1960’s and 70’s, and how it relates to today’s trends. While still giving a nod to the past, Future Hippie is more about the “nouveau hippies” and the trendsetters of the future.
The next generation is bright and all about color and individuality! It’s about self acceptance, expressing yourself through your creative endeavors and being kind to others. The future is fun! And this is what I hope to share with you though this blog. 🙂
Thanks for droppin’ by! Leave a comment and share your ideas and blogs with me. Who are some of your favorite “future hippies”?
