I love this shoot! I actually had the wig pictured above (see pic below) and used to put it on my mannequin “Bean” when selling vintage clothing. Also….my neighbor in South Beach was this really fabulous gay guy that would come over with his friends after clubbing and play dress up in all of my bright colored wigs. Now that was a fun use of the wigs!
*You can still pick this wig up on Ebay for like $20 or $30 bucks. Just search “green wig” and you’ll see quite a few.
Anyway, the super bright neon colors are always great in my book, and model Anna De Rijk pulls it off flawlessly! I think you have to be pretty adventurous though if your going to wear neon. You don’t want to end up looking like a giant piece of fruit! Best to start off with a scarf or a pair of neon stilettos if you’re not sure. 🙂
Hope everyone has a super sexy weekend!

I love anything that has to do with sci fi and outer space! You can frequently find me curled up on a Sunday afternoon watching Firefly DVDs, Fifth Element, or Chronicles of Riddick…..that of course is if there are no America’s Next Top Model rerun marathons! 🙂
This shoot is by London based photographer Tim Walker and the pictures were taken for a UK Vogue. A strange combination of retro style space craft and futuristic clothing make this a fun and interesting shoot!
Hope you guys have a fierce and sexy weekend!

P.S. There’s still a massive sale going on in the Future Hippie Shop! Lots of cool vintage clothing, most under $20.00! AND….there is brand new vintage clothing in the Hippie Couture Shop, with new pieces being added every week! AND….I will be doing giveaways right here on the FH Blog very soon! O.K., I’m done, I swear! 🙂
Georgia is the daughter of model mom Jerry Hall and rock legend Mick Jagger. Her modeling career has been on the fast track for the past couple of years and it doesn’t look like she’s slowing down anytime soon!
Here’s her latest shoot from Vogue China, shot by photographer Max Vadukul. Loving every look!
Hope everyone is having a fierce week so far and pursuing your dreams!
I couldn’t resist posting this shoot with model Melissa Tammerijn and her furry companion! It kind of has that dog / owner thing going on with the fro! I LOVE it! The pictures are from 10 Magazine and shot by photographer Andreas Larsson. I encourage you if you are an animal lover like myself, consider giving to a reputable charity that supports the safety and well being of animals. My favorite one is the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). I donate a percentage of all sales from both my vintage clothing shops. Even if it’s a small amount it can make a difference! A local animal rescue is a great place to give a few bucks to, and it just feels good to know you helping.
Enjoy the pics! Hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far!
I’m kind of loving this whole tribal trend that’s happening right now…..the chunky jewelry…the wild prints…..fabulous! Especially if it’s done right. Here’s a shoot from a London Sunday Telegraph featuring Karmen Pedaru who is just absolutely fierce! What? I told you I say fierce a lot, it’s in my sidebar! 🙂
It’s a supermodel festival! Check out Coco Rocha, Heidi Mount, Karlie Kloss, Liya Kebede and Paolo Roversi for T Style. I love the super bright colors and the vibe that is a little bit hippie, but also futuristic and fashion forward.
Speaking of futuristic hippies 🙂 Coming soon in the Future Hippie Shop……a whole new look! Right now everything in the shop is $20.00 or less. I’m making room for new vintage clothing which is focused more on neon, bright prints and some of the styles you see on this blog. I will keep you guys updated as thing progress.
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on Future Hippie! I love to hear your thoughts and visit your sites as well. 🙂
Sasha Pivovarova is one of my all time favorite models. When I saw this shoot from Elle I jumped out of my chair and did a little happy dance! She looks fierce as always, but what I love about this shoot is that it is part doll, part futuristic, and totally colorful. The Miu Miu platforms are ga…ga…ga…gorgeous, and Sasha pulls off every outfit flawlessly!
Below are the pics and a fun video of Sasha clips. If you subscribe by email and cannot see the video, go directly to Future Hippie.
