Everyone knows I love neon, so when I saw this shoot with Du Juan and Jessica Stam from Vogue China, I immediately wanted to post it. Now, what else is fabulous about this shoot is that it reminds me of one of my absolute favorite movies…..The Fast and The Furious!
If you’re ever sitting home on a rainy Sunday afternoon and need a semi-cheesy but totally entertaining flick to watch, then The Fast and the Furious is the movie for you! You can’t help but love Vin Diesel as he plays the sexy hijacking rebel, Paul Walker plays the cop with boyish charm, and the rest of the cast is just fierce!
The other ones are good but the original F and F is still my favorite! Here are pics of the shoot and some from the movie. Seriously go rent it! (A little cheese never hurt anyone!)
If you have been reading Future Hippie for sometime now, you will probably know that Georgia May Jagger, daughter of rock legend Mick Jagger, is one of my favorite “future hippies”! At just 18 years old, she has already graced the covers of several magazines and has recently landed a huge ad campaign for Versace.
Below is a short video clip of Georgia after winning “model of the Year” at the British Fashion Awards. If subscribe by email and can’t see the video, go directly to Future Hippie.
On to the Awards!!! A special thanks to Shell from Swan of Dreamers for this awesome “Happy” award!
And now my job is to name 10 things that make me happy and then pass it on to some of my favorite bloggers. 🙂 Here’s my list, in no particular order…..
*my husband, doggies & friends *buying lots of shoes *vintage clothing / fashion in general *people who are honest *the beach *rainy days *creating *giving *N.Y.C. *futuristic stuff
And now I pass this award on to the following fab bloggers with one change… I made an award that kinda fits my personality better, so feel free to snag either one of these or the one above and link back if you wish. 🙂
Here’s a few pics from the Versace store in Milan. Kind of reminds me of candy….this stuff looks good enough to eat!
The Spring 2010 Fashion show is pretty fierce so I figured I’d post that too. 🙂 If you subscribe by email and can’t see the video, go directly to Future Hippie.
Love All Around, Cara Mia♥
***PS I just wanted to say thank you to Allie of Hot Robot! I won a giveaway she had on her blog for a cool scarf and I’m so excited! I haven’t had a chance to take pics but I will very soon. Anyway, thanks Allie for hosting the giveaway….you rock! 🙂
Georgia May Jagger is one of the beautiful daughters of model mom, Jerry Hall and rockstar dad, Mick Jagger. She just did a new shoot for Vanity Fair who stated that “Georgia has made it in the major leagues of modeling.” By checking out the photos I can see why!
Her current boyfriend is Django James who is the son of Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics. Django is also following in the footsteps of his famous dad and has started a band of his own called Django James and the Midnight Squires…..totally worth the listen!
O.K, so you’ve probably guessed I’m slightly obsessed with Neon. 🙂 Here’s a shoot with Maryna Linchuk looking fierce in Russian Vogue from June 2008. I know it’s last year but I just had to post it! I love the blue lipstick although I don’t think I could pull it off without looking like an alien.
This may sound weird but I can’t wait for it to get cold, I’m so over this hot weather! Anyway have a great week everybody…more posts to come.
There were some really cool collections this season but two that stood out (besides L.A.M.B.) were Betsey Johnson and Zac Posen. Now, I have to admit I have always loved Betsey’s designs, but Zac……eh. He really surprised me this season with his mini-mod sixties airline stewardess look and clear vinyl jackets. Both collections are super colorful and a nice departure from the drab things that have been shown recently.
Enjoy the pics! 🙂
PS The girl in the white skirtsuit is one of my favorite “future hippies”, Georgia Jagger!
Love All Around, Cara Mia ♥ Many designers new lines feature vintage designs with a modern twist. They’re rocking the runway at NY Fashion Week! Colorful, flared, miniskirts and sleeveless dresses make it easy to get in the mood for spring. The eclectic look is a perfect foil for Abazias jewelry pieces. The look is playful, smart, and brings out the best in all your accessories.
Normally everything I write about or post is very colorful, guess you could say it fits my personality, but when I saw this shoot my heart did a little dance! I LOVE everything futuristic AND I’m a huge Sasha Pivovarova fan, so these pics made me just about pass out! The clothes are so friggin’ cool and the shoes….THE SHOES!!!
OK, I’ve regained composure. The photos were taken by Mario Sorrenti and it’s called Live From New York. It features models Sasha Pivovarova and Freja Beha who have a great chemistry together. The location is a perfect backdrop for the futuristic clothes….I’m in love!
Enjoy the photos, and when you get a chance drop by my other blog Hippie Couture. I’m hosting a contest with Perricone MD and giving away one Advanced Face Firming Activator, a $120.00 value. Not too shabby! 🙂
I was digging through one of my inspiration folders and came across this fabulous shoot with Sasha Pivovarova called Collage Girl. It’s from UK Vogue August 2008 and it’s shot by photographer Paolo Roversi.
Sasha is one of my all time favorite models, I’ve blogged about her before on my other blog Hippie Couture. She is not only beautiful but has the ability to adapt to any style of shoot or runway look. Here’s the pics from the shoot and a short video clip with Sasha doing an interview.:) Enjoy!

Hi everybody! I just got the rest of of the Phard catalog scanned, so here’s the second half of this awesome mini-mag as promised! This section is a little more earthy than glam but still really cute. I think my favorite pic is the girl with the faux hawk!
Here’s the first half of the Phard catalog in case you missed it. 🙂
